How to Use the NASCLA Electrical Exam for Your Arizona License

  • Register: Sign up for the exam on the NASCLA website and choose a testing center.
  • Complete the Exam: Save your results for the Arizona application process.

Step 3: Verify Your Work Experience

Document your work experience to meet Arizona’s requirements:

  • Master/Unlimited: Supervisory or management-level experience.
  • Residential: Experience with residential installations.

Step 4: Meet Business Requirements

If applying as a contractor, ensure you:

  • Register your business with the Arizona Corporation Commission.
  • Obtain a contractor’s bond and general liability insurance.

Step 5: Submit Your Application

Apply through the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC) with the following:

  • NASCLA Electrical Exam results
  • Proof of work experience
  • Business registration details
  • Required fees

Step 6: Receive Your License
