    Arizona C-11 & CR-11 Electrical License Requirements

    Arizona C-11 & CR-11 Electrical Contractor License

    1. Qualifying Party

    The applicant must have at least 4 years of verifiable experience in electrical contracting work.

    2. Required Exams

    Applicants must pass the following exams:

    • Arizona Statutes and Rules Exam (SRE): Open-book, online exam covering AZ contracting laws.
    • Trade Exam (Choose One):
      • NASCLA Commercial Electrical Exam (Accepted in multiple states).
      • Arizona Commercial Electrical Exam (State-specific).

    3. Background Check

    All individuals on the application must complete a background check before applying.

    4. Business Registration

    If applying as an LLC or Corporation, registration with the Arizona Corporation Commission is required.

    5. Bonding Requirement

    A contractor’s license bond is required. The bond amount varies based on annual business volume.

    6. Licensing Fees

    The current application fee is $720 (subject to change).

    7. Identification

    A valid government-issued photo ID is required for all applicants.
