Louisiana Carpentry Contractor Reciprocity

The LSLBC offers reciprocity for applicants who have already passed an equivalent contractor licensing exam in another state. If an applicant holds a classification that required an exam elsewhere — and that exam was passed without waivers, exemptions, or grandfathering — the LSLBC may accept that exam for reciprocity. The exam will be accepted for a comparable Louisiana classification determined by the Board. All other licensing requirements still apply, including documentation reviews and the investigation of any current or prior violations.
