Bring valid ID and only permitted, pre-tabbed references. Exams are computer-based, open-book; 75% required to pass. Eligibility to test is valid for 90 days from approval.

Alabama Electrical Contractor (Unlimited) — Requirements & Application

  • Statewide license required to engage in electrical contracting (unlimited scope).
  • Must pass the Electrical Contractor trade exam (or NASCLA National Electrical Contractor) and the Electrical Contractor Business & Law exam.
  • Exams are open-book; highlighting and permanent tabs allowed (no loose notes/copies).
