South Carolina Electrical Reciprocity

South Carolina participates in the NASCLA Accredited Electrical Contractors exam program. NASCLA results may be accepted for Commercial Electrical licensure — verify current acceptance and conditions directly with LLR before applying.

South Carolina Electrical Permitted Work

Residential Electricians may perform electrical work on residential structures of sixteen (16) units or fewer and no more than three stories high. Work must comply with the NEC and local codes.
Master Electrician Contractors (Commercial) may plan, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for commercial or industrial structures in accordance with NEC and South Carolina licensing rules.
