    A license is required when the total cost or contract amount is $25,000 or more.

    Monetary limits: 10 times working capital OR 10 times net worth – whichever is LESS.

    * For limits up to $3,000,000, a reviewed financial statement is required.

    * For limits greater than $3,000,000, an audited financial statement is required.

    Note: The BC-b Small Commercial classification has a maximum monetary limit of $1,500,000 per project.

    Tennessee BC-b Small Commercial Contractor Permitted Work

    This license allows bidding and contracting for the construction, alteration, or demolition of buildings for public use, including residential buildings with over four units or more than three stories. A maximum limit of $1,500,000 applies to all contracts under this license.
